How do I log in to Physiotools?
You can login through our website www.physiotools.com using your email address or username. Click Login on the top right of the home page.
If you have forgotten your password, you can always reset it by clicking on “I have forgotten my password” on the login page. Just a reminder that your new password should be at least 8 characters and contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, a number and a special character (! # $ & ( ) * + – < = > ? @)
Alternatively enter the URL of your Physiotools online installation in the address bar of your browser. We recommend you save the URL to Favourites or create a shortcut on your desktop.
Enter your username and password. Do not share these details. Click Login. Note: All users must log in using their unique login details to ensure that all work can be documented and identified correctly. If you have access to several sites, select the site you wish to log into.

Where can I get a username for Physiotools?

What are the technical requirements for using Physiotools?
All you need is any device with an Internet connection. When you order Physiotools, we will create an installation on our server and you will receive a unique URL that leads to your installation.

All licences in use – what does this error message mean?
Physiotools concurrent user license allow the creation of an unlimited number of user accounts, but the number of subscribed licenses limits simultaneous program access. So if you subscribe to 1 license, one person can use the program at the same time, with 2 licenses two, etc.
The error message appears if at the same time more people try to log in to Physiotools than the number of licenses allows. In this case, a user must log out before you can log in.

Why do buttons overlap sometimes?
Your browser zoom setting has changed. Hold down CTRL and press 0. Logout and login again. This will reset your browser zoom to default

How can I add a new user?
New users can only be added by the Site Administrator of an organisation. If you don’t know who this is, please contact: info@physiotools.com.

Does each user need to have their own username?
Each user must have their own username so that the exercise programs are documented to the correct therapist. Once you have your own username, you can save your settings to suit your requirements, mark the exercises you use most frequently as favourites, add and use your own templates and images and share them with others in your organisation.

My organisation doesn’t allow access to the internet. Can I still use the program?
Physiotools requires an internet connection because the installations reside on our servers. We offer a solution for facilities that are only allowed to host software. For more information, please contact sales@physiotools.com.

What language can I use the program in?
The Physiotools user interface has been translated into the following languages:
English, Finnish, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Spanish and Swedish.

How can I change the instruction language?
Physiotools instruction texts are pre-translated into up to 28 different languages. The language you selected for a customer when creating them determines the language in which the instructions are usually displayed.
Languages currently available are: Afrikaans, Arabic, Bengali, Chinese (traditional & simplified), Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Farsi, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish. Please note that not all exercises are available in all languages.

How can I find my favourite exercise quickly?
Physiotools allows you to mark exercises as favourites. You can also use the search category “Exercises frequently used by me”.

What search option are there?
Physiotools offers various options for finding suitable exercises. These options can also be combined with one another. This video tutorial gives you an overview.

To find exercises that you have uploaded to the program yourself, use the search filter My.

How can I see line drawings instead of colour photos?
In Settings on the Exercises page you will find the option Preferred picture version. Choose your preference here. For example, if you mainly provide printouts of the exercise programs, you can choose drawings to save printer ink. If, on the other hand, you mainly use email or the client app, you may prefer your clients to see photos.
Please note that the selected preference affects the order in which search results are displayed.

Can I reuse exercise programs?
In Physiotools you can create templates that you can reuse when creating exercise programs for individual clients. This video tutorial shows you how.

Can I put together standard templates?
You can create templates to use as generic exercise programs or as the basis for personalised exercise programs. This video tutorial shows you how.

How do I find my own exercises and templates?
On the Exercises page, select the filter buttons Templates and My (for your own templates) and Pictures and My (for your own pictures). You can narrow down your search further using the Free text search. You can change the order of your templates by selecting Title, Created by or Date.

To can also search for your own exercises and templates, using modules and keywords you have previously saved. On the Exercises page select Settings and under Available search menu categories select Physiotools default + User Exercises. The modules you have created will then appear under the Module category. You can access your user keywords by selecting the User keywords category.

How do I find exercises and templates shared within my organisation?
On the Exercises page, select the filter buttons Templates and Shared (for shared templates) and Pictures and Shared (for shared pictures). You can narrow down your search further using the free text search. You can change the order of your templates by selecting Title, Created by or Date.

Can I add general instructions to my exercise program?
It is possible to add general instructions or information to exercise programs as a note.
On the Edit page, click Add Note. This will add an empty field where you can enter, for example, general instructions or warnings. Drag and drop your note to the desired position in the exercise program.

Can I insert my own logo?
Administrators can upload their company logo to Physiotools so that it appears in the header of the exercise program.

How do I email Exercise programs?
After you have selected your exercises and made any required changes, go to print preview. Click the email icon and enter a valid email address for your client and click Ok.

How do I add or remove the QR code on the printout
Administrators can select which information is displayed in the header of the exercise plan in the Admin tab and General.

What is the client app and how is it used?
Physiotools Trainer client app is included in your Physiotools subscription. The client app is a free service that can be used by your clients to see their exercise programs created with Physiotools and to track their exercise activity.
The app is available for iOS and Android and can be downloaded free of charge from google Play and the App store

My client is not receiving their exercise program in the App, what can I do?
It is worth checking the following:
- Has your client chosen the correct region? The app runs on servers in Europe and the USA for data protection reasons. Your client should select the correct region when setting up their app account.
- Does the email address stored in Physiotools match the email address that your client used when creating their app user account?
In either case, the client must uninstall the app and select the correct region or use the email address stored in Physiotools when reinstalling.

Does Physiotools integrate with EMR software?
Physiotools has links to various EMR/PAS systems. You can find a list of integration partners here:

What is a concurrent user licence?
With a concurrent licence, there is no limit to the number of users that can be created. The number of existing licences then determines how many users can be logged into the program at the same time.

What is a named user licence?
Named user licence means that the licence is specifically for a named person and that person can log in with their own username and password. Physiotools named-user licences always include Premium content.
